About Megan

My goal with each new project is to bring a space to life by listening to home owners, collaborating with contractors and offering my own unique perspective. Working with a wide range of projects, budgets, needs and priorities over the years has given me the opportunity to hone in on what I love and how I can best help my clients.

As a child, my interest in gardens, architecture and design started with frequent visits to the LA Arboretum with my grandparents, obsessively watching “This Old House with Bob Villa” with my mom and observing how different spaces made me feel.

After studying architecture and art history in college I worked as an interior designer for over a decade in LA, managing a range of projects from residential remodels to exclusive hotel bars and pool cabanas. Then discovering a new creative outlet by taking classes in the evenings lead me to starting my own handmade jewelry business inspired by architectural details and elements found in nature.

Once we moved to Ojai and had our two boys, I paused working to be home with them for a few years. This gave me the chance to re-evaluate what I wanted to do with my time, interests and work experience. I realized how much I love being outside, playing in our yard with our boys and experimenting with different plants in our garden.

Studying native plants and herbalism opened up a whole new appreciation for what we can create in residential gardens. This new found inspiration lead me to becoming a certified California Native Plant Landscaper and landscape designer. Returning back to interior design and expanding into landscape design feels like the perfect fit for me.

A home should reflect the individual needs, dreams, aesthetics and lifestyle of the people living there. Whether its the first design consultation, presenting drawings and ideas, meeting with contractors or making final decisions; I love working with home owners and I am here to guide you through each step of your project.
